A little break...
What a year it has been for me! A new found passion for photography and most anything creative has pinched me hard this year! I have gotten the chance to photograph MANY of my friends and family (thank you ALL for letting me "practice" on you)! I have learned SO so much about the technical side of photography, while inventing my own style and getting comfortable with what I believe I can and cannot do in natural light.=)) I have had many ups and downs, mainly in my OWN confidence in myself and in my art... and to be honest, I still struggle with that. It has been hard at times, to "put myself out there" and show people my art. And, I am still learning... learning LOTS and lots!
August has been a crazy busy month for us, in that we are finishing up some big projects here on the home front, as well as, I am wrapping up some editing of several WONDERFUL photography sessions I did this past month (with one more photo session to shoot)! For those of you who I had the privilege of photographing recently, remember that all print and enlargement orders are due into me by MID-September, so that I can get all of your pictures to you by the time this baby pops out (they say she will make her appearance in early October)!
And, that is where the break needs to come in for me... obviously, I will have my hands full with caring for a new little one this Fall and Winter, so stay tuned for some fun postings of our little girl, during that time!
And, come SPRING 2010, I will begin accepting new clients again, so feel free to contact me now, if you would like to be put on the calender for some beautiful outdoor portraits! Funny how I seem to be continually drawn to outdoor photography (probably because I am limited in shooting inside anyway, since I work solely with natural light), but it is in my opinion that these outdoor photos make for the best visually stimulating pieces of art to look at! Think tulips, waterfront locations, golden hour lighting (late in the day before sunset), trees, fields, etc. etc..
And, one of the best things I should mention... check out my website for some new lower prices! Not a bad deal, I would say.
If you are reading this, thank you for following along in my photography journey and for believing in me! Even though I have found, that it is MY OWN self confidence in my work that speaks the loudest, your encouraging words have sure helped a lot this past year! I feel I have picked up a great "hobby"... hopefully, you can tell, I am pretty laid back about the whole business side of it. And, if I can create smiles from others in my "hobby" and feel comfortable doing it, then I am a pretty happy lady!
