Down by the river...

An old friend and one of four college roommates I had (back in the day!) called me a couple of weeks ago to ask if I could photograph her son and their family! Even though I am "winding down" with getting pretty big in this last part of my pregnancy and not wanting to take on a whole lot more, I had to say YES, because I know that her son has a pair of the MOST beautiful BIG BLUE eyes I have ever seen!!! How could I NOT want to photograph that!

They drove up to meet me and we all drove down to the river last night. Shane definitely had a mind of his own... He was ALL about checking out the rocks and throwing them into the water, so grabbing a quick FAMILY shot was a bit of a challenge, but he for sure modeled it up for the camera on his own! He has quite the personality!

After our river shoot, I had the idea of driving to a nearby field to grab some shots with the beautiful evening sunlight, but unfortunately, we weren't quick enough, because just as we were arriving to the field, the sun was tucking itself behind the hills and trees... just not the "right" light I was looking for! We will try for next time!

Since we didn't make it in time to grab shots in the field, we headed to a new location I have been eyeing for awhile... an old school right on Main St. that has the coolest large white doors and pillars in front...
