Snow day...

We had the first snow of the season here in Monroe this past weekend. It was quiet, beautiful, and WHITE. I love it! I love the snow, until it turns into brown mush, then I am ready for summer again... but, while it is newly white, I feel at rest... at peace... especially during this month, this season.

Of course, we had to take advantage, so we bundled (I mean, BUNDLED) Ben up in his first snow suit... complete with hat, gloves, coveralls, boots, and fleece. Only problem was, we could not find the right fit for all of his gear. His coveralls were way too big (I had to roll them up) and his boots just kept falling off of his feet. He was a little modge podge marshmellow and he was NOT having it... The fact that he had a bit of a cold, didn't help matters either. That said, we didn't spend very long outside, nor was able to get very many "snow" shots of him in his little snow apparel. However, i did capture these...

My winter pansies all covered in white...

Chase, aka. Super Dog... He is so staturesque.

I couldn't resist posting this pic.=) After the snow, we came in to drink some hot cocoa, which was quickly spilled down the front of his white shirt. Runny nose, cold red winter burned cheeks, and hair needing a cut, this is MY little man at his finest!
