Rarity...
It is rare that I get to watch Miss G sleeping nowadays.
Here's the story: We are gradually replacing all of the doors and base trim in our house {started the project last summer and still have a ways to go. All in good time, i tell myself. All in good time.} My amazingly handy husband is the work force behind this project and I couldn't be more thankful for him! He has put hours and hours into it!
However, some of the doors he replaced last summer have a, hmm... how should we say... a "hold" to them. Meaning, when you open the door, you have to really pull hard. And, the frustrating thing about it, is that he has tried and tried to fix the problem, but apparently, when the temperature changes in the house, the wood casing changes within the door frame to make it stick more or less. Like I said, when it sticks more, you have to pull open the door really hard and it usually makes a really loud noise {aka. this difficult pull and really loud noise quite often wakes a sleeping baby, hence the reason I don't often just get to gaze upon my sleeping beauty}. When she sleeps, I let her sleep and just keep the monitor on.
The story continues...
Nap time was over the other day, so I went in to get her. I opened the door {with the very LOUD pull} and expected her to be awake or be awakened by the noise.
FAST ASLEEP still... I watched her for a sec to make sure she was still breathing and even tried to quietly wake her up. Nothin. That girl was a snoozin!
SO... what does a mama do with a rare moment such as this? That's right... I grabbed my camera and snapped away! She slept the ENTIRE time! Craziness! Even with each click of my camera, she slept. Must have been one tired little girl!
