Window light...

It is getting harder and harder to grab a picture of Mr. Ben these days! He is constantly on the move! And, for those that know my Ben, know that it is rare to capture his smile on camera too! He has a "serious" expression, one that he seems to reserve just for me, as soon as I point the camera his way!

One afternoon last week, I was in the kitchen putting lunch together for us, and I walked into the family room to find him sitting with his blankie (his most PRIZED possesion) staring outside of our backyard sliding glass door. PRIME photo opportunity for a natural light photographer! I grabbed my camera to see if he would let me take a few pics! He obliged a bit and I even got the slightest little smirk out of him too! Can you tell he was ready for his nap?=)

Doggie... Ben wanted me to take a picture of his doggie too!

Kelly, I wasn't sure how to make sure and answer your ?'s so I came to your blog and thought I would do it here. I hope that is okay. I really need to set up a thing on my blog with my e-mail address so you could contact me that way!

First of all, your photography is amazing. Wow! I am loving all these photos! You are really, really good! : )

Also, good ?'s about the pillows. I am so glad you want to make some pillows. They are so super fun to make that I can't stop!

I do not use plastic bags every time. I use stuffing called Poly-fil. It can be bought at a fabric store, Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or even Wal-Mart! It's really easy to use. I just pull off small pieces and stuff away to my heart's content.

Also, I do cut 2 equal pieces about 1 inch around bigger than I want the actual pillow to be, whether they be squares or rectangles. I just leave an opening in the middle at the bottom of the pillow to use for stuffing it. I just pin the 2 pieces together and sew them wrong side out and flip it through the opening at the bottom. At that point, you can either hand-stitch the hole closed or you can use Heat 'n Bond type stuff cut to the size and iron the hole closed. (But you have to make sure not to actually iron the pillow pieces together but just the extra folded over edges together, if that makes sense.)

Sorry for this long and crazy comment! I will put a contact me thing on my blog tonight and you can e-mail me with any ?'s you may have or anything!

Thanks for visiting me!
